Weather Declared Offensive — Activists Demand Climate Be More Emotionally Predictable
In a stunning rebuke of nature itself, a coalition of climate justice activists announced this week that weather is officially offensive, demanding that atmospheric conditions become more emotionally predictable and socially equitable.
The movement began after several residents reported being caught in the rain without prior emotional consent.
“Rain doesn’t fall equally,” said activist spokesperson Aurora Drizzlewind at a press conference held under a government-issued umbrella. “Certain communities experience precipitation differently. That’s not random — that’s systemic.”
The activists argue that weather patterns unfairly target vulnerable populations, citing examples such as:
- Rain falling during planned outdoor events
- Wind disrupting carefully curated hairstyles
- Heat waves forcing people to sweat “without permission”
- Snow creating accessibility challenges for sandals
One petition circulating online accuses thunderstorms of “aggressive behavior,” noting that lightning is “loud, sudden, and deeply triggering.”
Meteorologists attempted to explain that weather is governed by natural atmospheric processes.
Activists rejected this explanation immediately.
“That sounds like science,” said Drizzlewind. “And science has a history.”
The group is demanding the creation of a Federal Emotional Climate Council, which would oversee weather events and ensure that:
- Rain occurs only after a content warning
- Snowflakes fall evenly to avoid favoritism
- Sunny days are rotated fairly among regions
- Hurricanes practice de-escalation
Proposed solutions include installing giant sky dimmers, issuing daily weather apologies, and renaming storms with less confrontational language. Hurricane names like “Victor” and “Andrew” may be replaced with gentler options such as “Breeze of Reflection” or “Moist Moment.”
Some residents expressed confusion.
“I thought weather just… happened,” said construction worker Mike Reynolds. “Apparently it’s now personal.”
Activists remain committed.
“Nature must do better,” Drizzlewind said. “Unpredictability is violence.”
As of press time, organizers were preparing a lawsuit against the sun for shining too brightly during morning hours, calling it “aggressively optimistic.”

As always…Because someone has to say it.
