University Replaces Traditions With Daily ‘Feel-Good Circles’ — Commencement Now Requires No Caps, Gowns, or Destiny
In what faculty describe as a “historic advancement in emotional scholarship,” Eastridge Progressive University announced it is officially replacing all long-standing academic traditions with Daily Feel-Good Circles, a mandatory ritual focused on processing feelings, validating insecurities, and ignoring anything resembling rigor.
Gone are the days of early-morning classes, academic standards, or challenging coursework. Today, the university’s new schedule includes:
- 8:00 AM: Emotional Opening Ceremony
- 10:00 AM: Group Affirmation Session
- 1:00 PM: Safe-Word Stretching
- 3:00 PM: Mindful Tea & Trauma-Sharing
- 5:00 PM: Sunset Sensitivity Circle
“We believe learning is less important than feeling appreciated,” said Chancellor Aurora Skypetal, speaking from a beanbag throne in the school’s new Healing Atrium. “Traditional education focused too much on knowledge and preparation. We’re shifting toward emotional self-celebration.”
Under the new model, students are no longer required to complete exams, submit assignments, or retain information.
Instead, grades are based on vibrations.
“A student’s GPA is now calculated by how their emotional energy aligns with the universe,” Skypetal explained. “It’s far more holistic than boring old numbers.”
The university’s Commencement Ceremony has also undergone a dramatic transformation. Students will no longer march in caps and gowns — an outdated practice the school has deemed “restrictive, hierarchical, and destiny-oriented.”
Instead, graduates will now:
- Glide barefoot through a meadow
- Chant communal self-affirmations
- Receive “Diplomas of Self-Discovery” printed on ethically sourced leaves
Parents expressed mixed reactions.
“My son majored in Feeling Studies,” said one father. “His only homework was journaling about his spirit animal. Now he’s graduating, but I have no idea what job he can get besides ‘professional vibe consultant.’”
Chancellor Skypetal dismissed concerns.
“Jobs are limiting. Emotions are forever.”
As of press time, EPU announced it is considering removing its library next semester, citing concerns that books “carry too many .facts”
Because someone has to say it.
