Activist Claims America Is Terrible While Using iPhone, Amazon Prime, Air Conditioning, And Freedom
In an inspiring display of deeply conflicted principles, self-proclaimed activist Riley Emberstorm went viral this week after passionately declaring that America is “a dystopian wasteland of oppression” — while livestreaming the rant from her brand-new iPhone 16, inside a fully air-conditioned apartment, delivered to her doorstep by Amazon Prime in under six hours.
“It’s honestly shocking how bad this country is,” Emberstorm told her 482,000 followers as she sipped a cold brew she ordered through an app invented in Silicon Valley. “America is literally the worst place on earth. I’m speaking my truth, and nobody can silence me.”
Her followers applauded the bravery of someone condemning a nation that inexplicably allows her to condemn it loudly, daily, and without consequence.
Throughout the livestream, Emberstorm made her case while utilizing a dozen American conveniences including high-speed internet, same-day shipping, wireless earbuds, free speech, and a thermostat set to a crisp 68 degrees.
“The government is watching everything we do,” she warned her viewers while uploading her speech to five major platforms simultaneously. “We’re practically living in a dictatorship.”
Critics were quick to point out the irony, but Emberstorm dismissed them as “bootlickers,” a term she Googled while sitting on a couch ordered from Wayfair, financed with a low-interest credit card, backed by an American bank, protected by federal law.
When asked what alternative nation she prefers, she responded, “Literally anywhere else,” before consulting a website that ranks global freedom indexes — which, awkwardly, placed the United States near the top once again.
Economists noted that Emberstorm’s lifestyle — and her activism career — rely heavily on the very capitalist, technological, and constitutional strengths she condemns.
“She’s a walking patriotic contradiction,” said one analyst. “It’s almost poetic.”
Despite the backlash, Emberstorm stands by her claims.
“I’ll keep fighting until America changes,” she vowed, “or until my Wi-Fi drops, whichever comes first.”
As of press time, her Amazon Prime driver confirmed he’s delivering three more protest-sign markers, a ring light, and an American flag she plans to burn “for dramatic effect.”
All made possible, of course… by America.
